I started crossfitting during PushMore’s early days in April 2008. The first few sessions were interesting. A variety of workouts, changing on a daily basis, was intriguing. You learnt something new every day.
But to be honest, there were plenty of times when I did not look forward to the sessions. In fact, for the first few months, the constant battle took place not on the rubbery gym floors, but in the head!
Like any other human endeavour, you start enjoying something only when you get better at it. It took time, and while the workouts do not get any easier, the body adapts to it, offering a wholesome sense of accomplishment after each session.
Recently, thanks to influence from the PaleoPals, I’ve started to put more thought into the food I consume, and reading up on diet and nutrition.
What’s the point of all this? Like the gym says… fitter, faster, stronger!
And the goal?

Bruce Lee lah, of course!
